WhoWhatWhy, the fast-growing, innovative, nonprofit news organization, is seeking several recruiters to help us expand our team!

If you are motivated and able to motivate others, and can commit a minimum of 15hours a week, we'd like to hear from you. Working from home, and remaining committed to full completion of tasks, is a must.

A nonprofit that accepts no advertising, WhoWhatWhy is staffed largely with skilled volunteers dedicated to elevating public awareness and fostering a more vigorous democracy.


You will workremotelyand on your own schedule, though we require a minimum commitment of 5-10 hours a week. Because our staff is spread throughout the world, we communicate mostly through email. All staff are required to respond to emails on a daily basis.

  • Interview applicants for a range of positions throughout the organization
  • Take notes during the process for the hiring manager to consult
  • Processes job requisitions and coordinates postings on recruiting platforms
  • Work closely with hiring managers to improve recruiting processes
  • Extend verbal and written job offers
  • Support new employees during the onboarding process
  • Complete weekly report on employment activity for department manager
