The Line Manager is the lead member of the Letter of Credit team, which operates using a workstation concept. While the main focus for this position is managing the Letter of Credit Import/Export area of the Department, the manager must also have knowledge of all International Department products, procedures, operations and the International Chamber of Commerce Rules of Practices and Procedures. The Line Manager ensures that both the individual letter of credit records and the bank's accounting of the letter of credit portfolio are complete, accurate and up to date.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:* Daily management of personnel and operations of Import/Export L/C, Standby L/C, Documentary Collections.* Responsible for the issuance, amendments, payments, advises, transfers and assignments, steamship guarantees and air releases, document discrepancies, fee collection, and bankers acceptance financing.* Daily management of personnel and operations of Outgoing Clean Collections, Outgoing/Incoming Documentary Collections, Foreign Exchange -- purchases, sales and record keeping.* Handles reconciliation's to General Ledger - IBSNet to G/L; Nostro Accounts to G/L and any other reconciliation control within the department, for example, monthly 80l report.* Responsible for department compliance with OFAC, BSA, Know your customer, AML, Sarbanes Oxley Section 404, etc.* Daily management of personnel and operations of our internet product NetIMEX as well as the customer agreements, installation, training, and documentation.* Responsible for the department's written policies and procedures, and to ensure they are current.* Responsible for keeping the software (IBSNet/NetIMEX) on most current version.* Handles daily management of personnel and operations of our SWIFT Department, as well as creating and maintaining the banks BKE, investigations, and maintaining the software on its current version.* Serves as key player in disaster recovery and for internal audits.* Responsible for subordinates' performance reviews.Required Skills:* Ability to work as a member of a team.* Demonstrated leadership ability.* Excellent customer service skills.* Excellent communication skills to handle contact with customers and account officers.* Ability to prioritize, organize and delegate assignments.Required Experience:* Minimum of ten years' related experience. Management experience required. Extensive international banking experience.
