BNY Mellon has created a new client facing business focused on data and analytics solutions that is looking for a strong individual to assist with strategic initiatives. The candidate will support the Head of Product Strategy. This role will execute against multiple strategic project goals, transformation initiatives and communications needs.

The team will play a central role in the building of BNY Mellon Data and Analytics Solution's global strategy and narrative. The team will work with senior leaders within the business to help shape the initiatives that build into the overall strategic priorities. The group will also take the lead in pricing strategies, product go-to-market plans, and industry alliances.

Role Responsibilities:

Overall management and execution of key strategy deliverables for Data & Analytics Solutions. For example:

Pricing strategy for new D&A products (cost plus and value based pricing, competitor models, market validation of approach, etc.)

Commercial strategy and scale-up approach, managed services / support model for new D&A products, etc.

Articulation of major business goals and key metrics

Product management framework

For each deliverable, key responsibilities include:

Maintain and manage work plan associated with these deliverables

Socialize key frameworks, analysis and output with stakeholders across product management, commercials and engineering team

Drive industry research / competitive analysis (as needed) for the deliverables

Ensure buy-in from the stakeholders

Drive the agenda and planning for key product & strategy related councils

Proactively set the agenda for the meetings

Critical think through major risks / challenges associated with deliver timelines

Drive consensus on product roadmap

Strategic Planning - IC5

Leads key strategic initiatives in the planning, analysis, implementation, integration and measurement of business development projects for line of business. May provide recommendations to strategic direction for line of business.

Provides solutions/recommendations for complex business initiatives for line of business, where analysis of situations requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives. Partners with business line managers to design short, medium and long-term operational improvements. Develops and ensures the execution of the operational/business strategy to improve processes, productivity and efficiency, and to reduce costs for business area.

Utilizes a comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of multiple areas across disciplines to achieve project objectives. Guides and consults with teams during strategic planning process. May advise teams on strategy and process decisions.

Executes the operational/business strategy and related activities for line of business.

Keeps abreast of contemporary concepts in business strategy and management and applies these to develop innovative solutions and transformation plans and roadmaps.

No direct reports. Provides guidance to more junior staff.

Contributes to the achievement of business area objectives

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required. Advanced degree preferred 10-12 years of related experience preferred. Experience in the securities or financial services industry preferred.
