The Parks and Recreation Data Analyst assists the Director of Parks and Recreation in providing thorough analyses of department functions; strengthens branding and promotion efforts; and monitors business practices to identify areas for process improvement. Demonstrates skilled knowledge in various software systems utilized by the Department including, but not limited to, CivicRec, VUEWorks, ArcGIS, Illustrator, PhotoShop, PowerDMS, and Power BI. Necessary skills include proficiency with data-management and statistical languages; background in marketing analytics, statistical analysis or model development; ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment; data visualization and presentation; strong organizational and time management skills; high-level attention to details; and excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to tell a story behind the data. Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university with major course work in business or public administration or related field and one to two years related experience and/or training in local government; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
