Position Summary Red Lion Controls is seeking a DevOps Engineer with experience developing build, release, and maintenance tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations. Join our global engineering team where you will have an opportunity to utilize your technical expertise and experience to drive the design and automation of processes to support the Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) of embedded software, application software, and services, cloud native apps, and mobile apps in the form of pipelines for the delivery of software across the enterprise. What Youll Bring to the Position: You must like to learn new technologies and adapt quickly to dynamic environments You have a strong desire to work with current, state-of-the-art software technologies and tools, and have experience implementing them effectively You are excited about working with cloud-native stack, building on AWS (or equivalent) using technologies like Kubernetes and Serverless Energy, Enthusiasm, and Curiosity You must share a passion for the customer, our company, and your own personal success You work with mutual respect and open-mindedness You possess a strong sense of engineering craftsmanship, take pride in your code Youre efficiency-focused and you thrive in a customer-first environment You possess great communication and analytical skills, including the ability to influence stakeholders and advocate for your recommended technology choices You thrive in an agile environment and are eager to tackle new and difficult challenges Minimum Required Education and Skills: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field 2 years of Application Development experience 5 years of DevOps experience Experience building and maintaining tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations Experience troubleshooting and resolving issues in our development, test, and production environments Intelligent problem solving ability and excellent interpersonal skills Flexible and adept at sharing and knowledge transfer Ability to create clear and concise processes, procedures, and automation Experience with Git and related repository management services such as GitLab, GitHub, and BitBucket Experience with Jenkins, TeamCity, Artifactory, and similar tools alongside an understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment best practices Experience with agile project management tools such as Jira Preferred Education and Skills Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field Object Oriented Programming background and a willingness to both learn and teach Experience in Python and Java or equivalent at the Object Oriented Programming level Experience with Python or equivalent for scripting Experience with Puppet or equivalent for software installation Experience with SPLUNK and ELK (ElasticSearch, Logstash, and Kibana), or equivalent, for log file monitoring Experience with IT automation software Ansible Endorse, support, and model the Companys core values of: Absolute Integrity Empowerment Customer Focus Restless Innovation High Performance Red Lion Controls is committed to recruiting and selecting candidates based on their qualifications.
