Position Overview

Purpose and scope:

Provide best overall global value and quality for the Brand by realizing ideas into desirable products that meets the consumer expectations.

Create and drive the development and execution of the Product Strategy for the Brand to create the best overall value in terms of product, price, lead-time and quality. Drive proactive development at component level to meet the Brand / Product needs and to secure product development and costing to meet desired Milestones, Product Architecture, Authenticity, Quality and results. Continuously innovate.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Development Responsibilities:

?Develop and Drive seasonal development, CTR milestone and production calendars. Manage self and partner departments to maintain schedule. Involve management when delays jeopardize timely milestone achievements. Manage Operational Tracker.

?Identify and pursue Optimized Lead Time Opportunities and coordinate with all stakeholders.

?Provide required input to Seasonal Kickoff.

?Attend Seasonal Kickoff and Design Handoff. Identify disconnects between target pricing and build requirements, as well as new sourcing requirements at handoff. Work to close gaps. Identify and capitalize on opportunities.

? Drive global sourcing and development of good/ better/ best components, hardware, make /execution according to Brand direction.

?Work with design to understand and execute product specifications. Manage creation of complete proto /market sample specs.

?Assess risk at each stage of development. Escalate issues per Risk Assessment policy.

?End to end approach to costing. Facilitate cost engineering to meet cost goals, including maximizing construction opportunities while minimizing liabilities. Identify where costing objectives are out of sync with manufacturing or supplier trends. Establish appropriate target prices. Communicate target prices Regional Sourcing office or to Factories and solicit prices. Organize and drive costing meeting market kickoff with Senior Management. Facilitate production costing negotiations based on volume and through strategic and/or product specific solutions. Drive approvals.

?Manage Sample ordering, tracking, check in, reporting and hand-offs- including Protos, Market, PR, and Rigging Samples.

?Drive Raw Material activities from Toolbox handoff, including Lab Dip approvals, and confirming material bookings for Proto/ SRS, from 1st proto to master approval stage. Partner with Regional offices to solve in-season material issues.

?Identify material platforming and positioning opportunities.

?Manage accurate GFE+ buy dates, including, Planned otb/ order due date, buy date, sizes due, minimum dates for all materials offered for the season.

?Drive & Manage Product Ready approvals. Participate in pre-fits with design.

?Maintain details on Attribute Chart for marketing/ sales support.

?Analyze projections to identify allocations, prioritize approvals, and understand delivery priorities.

?Manage creation of complete and accurate production techpacks and BOM's.

?Manage buy process with merch, advises MOQ's/ Lead time issues, place buys with Regional offices

?Lead weekly CTR meetings and drive all items and milestones toward timely approval. .

?Coordinate and report wear test results

?Schedule customs compliance team product review. Prepare and pass off spec details that support accurate HTS classification. Coordinate

?Coordinate testing for HTS verification

?Provide required documentation, standards and samples and Risk Assessment documents to overseas team to create QA file in relation to audits

?Manage department invoices

?Establish and report on appropriate development metrics.

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

Bachelor's Degree

PLM/GFE skills are a plus
