Senior Client Manager

Overall Role

Effectively lead a variety of strategy and design projects.

Key Objectives

To build successful long-term client relationships with allocated clients

To practice effective and profitable business management on each of your projects

To be viewed as a strategic resource both internally and externally on all projects

Specific Responsibilities

External

Manage and lead 5-6 core clients with minimal support from Client Director / Head of Client

Management.

Develop strong client relationships with your allocated clients.

Keep client abreast of competitive category movement, to help build the relationship.

Act as a strategic resource for clients - understanding their businesses as a whole, their

goals, objectives, internal processes & politics, and potential roadblocks.

Provide strategic point of view throughout the course of the relationship to influence both

specific projects and business as a whole.

Internal:

Manage project from kick-off through completion.

Prepare proposals, cost estimates, and creative briefs in advance of project work starting.

Lead creative briefings and creative reviews - providing insight and feedback to ensure all

work is on brief.

Ensure efficient project administration (i.e. on brief, on budget, on time and all

documentation is up-to-date on the client server e.g. proposals, estimates, presentations

etc.).

Report project status through contact reports/ activity reports to internal/ external teams.

Ensure all internal teams are up-to-date on timelines and key deliverables.

Effectively resource for your projects on a weekly basis with the Creative Resource

Manager.

Monitor project effectiveness in conjunction with HoCMT / Client Director (if applicable) and

Studio Manager.

Highlight PR opportunities from client business in conjunction with internal Marketing and

Communications team.

Take responsibility for general well being of Client Managers and highlight any key issues to

HoCMT / Client Director if applicable.

Commercial

Ensure revenue forecast for your client business is accurate on a weekly basis and

highlight any issues at the earliest opportunity (prior to the weekly meeting).

Monitor project spend - resources, expenses and bought-ins - highlight potential

overspend to Finance, HoCMT, and Client Director where applicable.

Prepare cost estimates and ensure all estimates are approved and all invoices are

raised, checked and sent to client on time.

Budget effectively in conjunction with HoCMT, and Client Director where applicable.

Be aware of margin on fees and costs/profitability.

Help drive farming strategies alongside HoCMT/Client Director where applicable.

Write farming activity plan with HoCMT/Client Director.

Report on client business to feed into farming activity.

Help to identify new business opportunities.

Identify and contribute to new business development initiatives and pitches in

conjunction with new business team, partners and management team.

Contribute to business development via your on-going client relationships and highlight

to HoCMT/Client Director where applicable.

Reporting Structure

Report to Head of Client Management.

Work with Client Director on key accounts.
