The result: better people, better ideas, and better healthcare.In this role you will be a key member and leader in a dynamic environment, tasked with building out the Sourcing & Procurement function. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies that directly affect the company's financial results. Your key responsibilities will include overseeing vendor operations & strategy and managing high-level relationships with vendor partners.Some examples of initiatives you'll take on include:* Develop, advocate, and implement sourcing and negotiation strategies for key spend areas to achieve short and long-term savings targets* Develop annual cost savings programs. Implement sourcing strategies that directly affect company financial results and growth plans* Evaluate supplier capabilities and establish pipeline for new vendors* Implement supplier performance scorecards and trackingMust-have qualifications include:* 10+ years of work experience* Experience with formulating "build or buy" decisions, managing an RFP process and negotiating contracts* Excellent leadership and communication skills to drive results across a wide range of initiatives and stakeholders* Outstanding critical thinking and ability to present information in a structured manner for senior leaders* Demonstrated ability to build external relationships and hold partners accountable* Strong sense of urgency, a bias for action and ability to thrive in fast paced environments* Ability to work well with cross functional teams as Oscar's vendors touch virtually every part of the businessThe following will be helpful, but are not essential?* Experience in the healthcare industry* Experience developing, motivating, and growing a team* An understanding of the payer regulatory environmentAt Oscar, being an Equal Opportunity Employer means more than upholding discrimination-free hiring practices.
