The Treasury Assistant will support the Treasury Officer as well as the financial reporting and accounting departments as necessary. Duties include support in forecasting cash flow, investment transactions, ALM monitoring, budgeting, and assist in performing cash transactions between internal bank accounts.

Job duties include:

* Performs cash and liquidity reporting as well as ad-hoc reports for senior management.
* Assists in providing treasury reports for interim and year-end audits and compliance reviews.
* Assists in development and maintenance of treasury policies and procedures.
* Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end treasury-related board reports.
* Collaborate with the finance team to identify process improvements and determine best practices and support treasury projects.
* Distribution of key market interest rates to senior managers.
* Assist with monthly and quarterly collateral reporting to U.S. Government entities.
* Assist with gathering information to run ALM simulation software models.
* Assist with investment transactions and investment portfolio reporting.
* Assist with annual Bank's budget, Strategic and Capital Plan.
* Focus on automation and enhancement of key business reports and dashboards.
* Assist in reconciliation of Bank's ALLL calculation.
* Ensure reports are accurate, comprehensive and timely, and that they provide effective and actionable information.
* Other treasury responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Education

* Bachelor's degree in accounting and/or finance
* Three to five years of experience in Finance and Accounting in the banking industry, preferably in community banks.

Required Skills and Experience

* Knowledge and understanding of banking operations including loan, deposit, general ledger, and investment processes.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaborate successfully with coworkers, management, and auditors.
* Advanced Microsoft Office skills and ability to quickly learn and navigate new software.
* Advanced analytical/problem solving and research skills.
* Ability to work independently on projects.
* Ability and willingness to learn and excel at tasks assigned to her/him.
* Must be detail-oriented and focused on accuracy and timeliness of projects
