We are seeking a highly motivated and scientifically rigorous individual to join our Vector Operations group at either the Senior Research Associate or Principal Research Associate level. The Vector Operations group at LogicBio is responsible for generating, purifying and releasing rAAV vectors to support research, process development and pre-clinical activities. The successful candidate will be an integral member of the Vector Operations group and primarily utilize her/his molecular biology expertise to support the mission of the group.
Construct critical plasmids to support R&D and Technology Development efforts
Maintain plasmid supply for rAAV production internally and externally
Define quality control attributes for pre-clinical and clinical plasmids
Coordinate with external vendors for plasmid scale-up and QC (including NGS)
Design and maintain rigorous and trackable inventory system
Bachelor's Degree in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology or related science disciplines with minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
Extensive and hands on experience in diverse molecular biology techniques including PCR, subcloning using various methodologies such as Golden Gate and/or Gibson assembly and plasmid production/purification is REQUIRED
Experience in interpreting NGS and Sanger sequencing results and proficient in utilizing standard sequence annotation softwares is required.
Experience in inventory management is highly desirable
Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills, and the ability to work independently and effectively in a highly dynamic environment
Demonstrate an understanding of scientific principles to problem solve and troubleshoot test results
Ability to multi-task to meet timelines
Experience within a start-up or small biotech environment preferred
