Work in cooperation with the rest of the organization to ensure on-time delivery of our ASME code-related sales orders. You will be responsible for all technical aspects of assigned projects and serve as the primary customer contact for Engineered projects.
Perform engineering calculations and analysis Ensure the mechanical/structural and thermodynamic integrity of the design. Manage activities according to the project schedule and customer commitments Maintain strong relationships with all customers. Develop a comprehensive understanding of project requirements. Monitor and control design costs to protect the margin established at the time of the sale. Design special mechanical components to meet job-specific requirements. Utilize SolidWorks to design and model assemblies and components. Work with the assigned designer to develop job-specific SolidWorks models and drawings Adhere to ISO and ASME Code Quality Program requirements. (ASME Sec VII experience is required)
Experience with SolidWorks or similar 3D solid modeling software. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and MS Access. Organizational skills; capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts in both oral and written English. Able to interact professionally at all levels within and outside of the organization Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering Experience in a metal products manufacturing environment with lean principles.
