Position Title: Coordinator Drug & Alcohol - Full-timePosition SummaryThe Coordinator conducts drug and alcohol tests, facilitates educational opportunities, and provides customer service contact for our donors/clients, in designated regions and departments. The Coordinator performs various administrative functions to ensure compliance with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the Department of Transportation (DOT), and state testing regulations.Essential Responsibilities* Perform, schedule, and notify both drug and alcohol specimen collections in accordance with Federal and State regulations and JetBlue policy and standards* Determine type of test(s) required; interprets when to test or not test; whom to test if post-accident - all in accordance with FAA, DOT, State and Company regulations* Makes determinations, based on regulatory guidance, as to specimen validity based on color/odor/temperature and donor actions* Enforces direct-observation specimen collection as required* Determines when to declare a "refusal to test" based on regulatory parameters and reports same to Designated Employer Representative* Provides expert testimony to any FAA, NTSB, and State investigations and hearings as required* Upload and store information to various SharePoint sites and have a good working understanding of Microsoft Excel* Maintains breath alcohol machine calibration schedule* Files and maintain excellent record keeping, which include filing CCF, ordering supplies, maintain and calibrate equipment* Tracks test results and audits for accuracy with mandatory guidelines* Facilitates educational classes as needed* Other duties as assignedMinimum Experience and Qualifications* High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma* Two (2) years' experience in a service oriented role* Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel* Must complete and pass urine drug collections, saliva testing and breath alcohol testing training* Available for frequent travel (10%)* Able to do collections outside of normal business hours* Able to travel and/or work variable hours, flexible shifts, including holidays and weekends* Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge* Will need to acquire and maintain a United States Customs Clearance* Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test* Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is locatedPreferred Experience and Qualifications* Bachelor's Degree* Two (2) years previous drug and/or alcohol specimen collection experience and/or medical experience* Completed Urine Drug Collections, Saliva Testing, and Breath Alcohol Testing training* Proficient with Microsoft Outlook suite* Ability to work with minimum supervision* Maintain schedule flexibility* Ability to work in a team environment* Excellent presentation skills, both verbal and written* Excellent organizational skills* Knowledge of FAA Drug & Alcohol regulationsCrewmember Expectations:* Regular attendance and punctuality* Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice* Well-groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance* When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft* Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and Fun* Promote JetBlue's #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue's Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards* Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue's confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR)Equipment:* Computer and other office equipmentWork Environment:* Normal Office Environment* Scheduled work hours could include early mornings, late evenings and weekends, as well as on-call dutiesPhysical Effort:* Light physical effort required by handling objects up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently.
