Your tasks and responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of this role, Director Regional Medical Affairs Oncolgy Latin America MD, are to:
Creates and devises the regional LATAM MA Oncology strategies and tactics in conjunction with RMOs in order to attain the business results while assuring Compliance & Governance.
Ensures key liaison for Global MA leads and all regional MA activities supporting Global strategy, representing the LatAm region on the MCT [Medical Core Team].
Leads, manages and prioritizes a list of actions by identifying, assembling and indirectly leading a team of country medical colleagues, always aiming for regional and global alignment. , .
Provides subject matter expertise support and liaise directly with country medical colleagues in the LATAM Region in regards to Oncology TA Strategies, projects and regulatory aspects, while maintains updated CMD and Regional MA Head.
Co-leads the liaisons with GMSLE and MSL Managers and Heads, aligning strategies, content, training and management of all Oncology MSLs in region.
Leads the communication of Oncology Regional and MCT decisions and operational plans to local Oncology Medical Affairs advisors and to the country medical directors.
Leads the regional processes of Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) management, and help country medical colleagues to excel in their KOL management process. Responsible for maintaining a competitive pool of OL engaged and trained in relevant products strategies and messages.
Leads, manages and oversees the Regional OL Advisory Group(s).
Lead Medical Affairs activities connected to medical information and communication plans, ensuring adequate medical support is present at congresses, scientific symposia, scientific stand-alone meetings or scientific road shows within the territory y of her/his responsibility.
Provides subject matter expertise for the development, review and approval of regional promotional materials, press releases, product monographs, brochures, field communication items, and Q&A handling for the Oncology BU, balancing the proper medical support with the simultaneous adherence to medical governance principles.
Leads and manages regional strategy for phase IV trials in LatAm region, including but not limiting to Independent Research Programs and Non Interventional Studies. If needed she/he helps to develop country proposals, ensuring global resources are properly utilized during review process.
Co-leads and manages the medical support on a regional level for crisis management in the BU portfolio and oversee the medical support at local level.
Supports regional training, coordinates the development of regional medical-scientific training materials and provides medical support to trainings in local organisations in close partnership with CMD and country medical oncology colleagues,
Indirectly or directly supports R&D activities among the region, as well as create awareness on KOLs for future indications/or future oncology products.
Collaborates with Clinical Operations to help deliver in regional and country metrics for the different Phase II and III trials. Helps country teams to ensure access plans are strong enough to support timely reimbursement by anticipating unmet medical needs and properly developing specific tactics

MD or equivalent degree (MBBA) andAt least 5 years work experience in the pharmaceutical sector in Medical Affairs, Clinical Development or related positions [exception: medical experience can also be recognized as equivalent experience if candidate has clinical academic expertise is the specific TA;
Solid understanding of clinical development process, as well as the interpretation of observational and health-economic studies Deep understanding of global trends of the Oncology field, in order to tailor medical strategy and tactics to the company s objectives;
Experience in working in an affiliate desired;
Experience in managing functions and teams across cultures and geographies is desirable;
Leadership experience of a medical affairs department is desirable;
Demonstrated ability to work in a medical capacity supporting business objectives;
Knowledge of pharmaceutical business policies and procedures.;
Language: English proficiency is required. Spanish or Portuguese fluency is a plus
