CMG's market-leading, global brands - including Weber Shandwick, Golin, Octagon, Jack Morton, DeVries Global, Current Global, Rogers & Cowan, PMK*BNC and FutureBrand - deliver leading-edge solutions to clients around the world.About the OpportunityCMG is seeking an innovative and action-oriented business development and marketing executive to serve as a key member of its transformational executive leadership team.The Senior Vice President will help drive revenue growth through elevating CMG's differentiating value proposition and connecting appropriate talent from across CMG's global agency network to create marketing solutions that address clients' business challenges. The SVP owns identification, vetting and pursuit of integrated new business opportunities.The SVP will also develop and lead an integrated, global marketing strategy that promotes, protects and enhances CMG's brand reputation and broadens awareness of CMG's wide-ranging capabilities. The SVP will be responsible for worldwide marketing communications activities, including media relations, crisis/issues management, employee engagement, executive visibility and digital communications/social media. This role is based at CMG's global headquarters in New York City.What You Will Be DoingBusiness Development* Design and operationalize an integrated CMG business development strategy and process that is efficient and scalable* Partner with CMG brand business development teams to identify and prioritize integrated new business opportunities, assign pitch leaders and resources, and shepherd cross-agency teams through the pitch process* Ensure CMG's value proposition is elevated and accurately conveyed throughout the pitch process, from initial contact to post-pitch communications* Develop and maintain all CMG-specific new business pitch materials* Serve as a collaborative partner for brand business development teams to help inform brand-specific efforts and to share best practices* Build and maintain strong working relationships with outside consultantsMarketing Communications* Define and drive a proactive, integrated global marketing communications strategy that promotes CMG's value proposition, capabilities and business initiatives* Lead strategic planning and execution of all CMG internal and external communications efforts, including executive visibility, thought leadership, and brand and employee engagement* Oversee CMG's global media relations strategy, including actively cultivating relationships with local, national and international media, and managing CMG's reputation and relationships with industry/trade press, business/consumer media and influencers* Spearhead issues management and crisis response, including proactive strategic planning and counseling senior and C-Level executives during sensitive communication situations* Stay abreast of competitive intelligence and marketplace opportunities and challenges* Serve as keeper of the CMG brand look and feel, graphic representation and voiceWhat We Are Looking For* Thorough knowledge of leading integrated new business efforts, including proactive targeting, RFI/RFP response and financial negotiations* Thorough knowledge of leading both internal and external global communications efforts* Experience providing strategic advice, counsel and coaching to CEO and senior leadership team* Analytical with a strong, data-informed and strategic point of view* Highly organized, results-oriented and driven to find the most effective and efficient processes* Ability to perform in a fast-paced, ever-evolving and highly complex integrated environment* An effective leader in group settings with ability to influence without direct authority* Experience working with global teams spanning multiple regions and countries* Superior writing, editing and verbal presentation skills* Collaborative style and engaging interpersonal skillsBasic Qualifications* 10 years managing and overseeing global new business development and marketing communications, and building/executing strategy in a fast-paced, creative business environment* Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree a plus* Able to include periods of travel as part of regular routine * The salary listed in the header is an estimate based on salary data for similar jobs in the same area.
