The Account Executive (AE) acts on behalf of nora systems, Inc. and is responsible for conducting his/her business according to corporate strategy, following company policies. At all times, the Account Executive will practice good time management, act in a professional manner and maintain a professional, business-like appearance.
Responsible for establishing and meeting sales plan for the territory within the framework of nora systems, Inc. strategy by target market segment and product and within planned expense budget, and for achieving all points of operative and strategic plan assigned to the AE.
Working within the framework of the nora selling system, the AE will achieve planned results by adhering to the selling activities summarized as follows:
Work closely with the Market Segment Managers according to the strategy.
Write resilient flooring specifications with architects, designers, specifiers and end-users.
Implement strategy by conducting nora knowledge presentations, using approved nora sales tools, to specify projects.
Work with flooring contractors and major end-users within his/her published price authority to generate opportunities and sales.
Coordinate with other AEs and the Regional Manager on all activities regarding key flooring contractors and activities related to architects working on projects outside the specified territory and in a particular market segment. All parties should work as a team according to the strategy.
Implement required activities to support strategic positioning programs.
Conduct trade shows as necessary under the direction of the Marketing Department and by following nora trade show protocol.
Working with the technical department, coordinate with the technical representatives to insure successful installations through installation and technical seminars.
Report weekly expenses and other reimbursable activities in a timely manner.
Report monthly on significant achievements or news from the sales territory.
Responsible for coordinating with the Customer Support Specialist (CSS) in the entering and monitoring of projects and all related information.
Manage activities using CRM software, including activity and calendar files in accordance with corporate requirements and policy.
Use weekly CRM reporting to prioritize activities and to distribute tasks between AE and CSS efficiently.
Call on all market segment accounts using the market segment related tools.
Support promotional activities/programs as requested.
Communicate with the CSS about current projects, activities and required follow up.
Limit office time to no more than one work day per week.
Promptly follow up on project leads from the following sources which offer project opportunities, and enter prospect address/project into CRM. Coordinate inputs with the CSS
Internet, direct mail and media response
Project lead service
Leads and project information obtained through interviews; seminars; meetings with contractors, architects and designers; publications; government resources (local and regional)
Maintain a current address database in CRM for all major architects and end-users including all contact information.
3+ years sales experience
Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience in North American construction industry preferred
Excellent communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Residence within the sales district required
Ability to travel as required to fulfill sales requirements and/or attend meetings
