We are a small team focusing on small-batch, naturally-leavened, regional whole-grain and Sicilian ancient grain breads, and we are looking for bakers who share our love for excellent bread. Our bakery production is organized so that each baker sees production through from start(er) to finish(ed loaf), giving everyone the opportunity to analyze the entire process and refine their technique.

Our ideal candidate is passionate about bread, and wants to expand their horizons. They have a positive attitude, good hand skills, are attentive to details, and are willing to accept direction as necessary in their quest for the ultimate bread.

Previous experience baking or cooking in a professional capacity is required, but we won t turn away exceptional beginners who are driven to learn.

Job Requirements:

Ability to follow a recipe as it is written and deliver consistent results
Assists with scaling, mixing, shaping, and baking daily breads as directed
Maintain pre-ferments as directed
Works quickly, cleanly, and efficiently
Early morning and weekend hours required
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Reports to Head Baker
