OverviewInsurance & Real Estate AnalystReporting directly to the Assistant Director of Insurance, he/she will be responsible for helping to support the Hospital's Insurance initiatives and support a wide range of activities related to insurance renewals, certificates of insurance, contract reviews, and maintaining/updating the budget.RESPONSIBILITIES:The specific responsibilities related to the insurance program include, but are not limited to:* Assist in the gathering of information and data needed to complete insurance renewal applications in a timely manner; update data spreadsheets throughout the year as necessary to ensure information is current (e.g., update building values for property policy)* Assist in documentation review and filing (e.g., abstract insurance policies, review insurance binders and policies once issued for accuracy; follow-up with insurance brokers if corrections are needed)* Working with internal and external stakeholders review contracts to ensure third party entities/vendors carry the appropriate required insurance coverage* Coordinate requests for Certificates of Insurance; review all Certificates of Insurance provided by 3rd parties; follow-up on Notice of Cancellation letters of any insurance that is required by Contract or Agreement* Maintain and update database of Certificates of Insurance; work with Legal & Risk Management to understand insurance requirements outlined in contracts/agreements in force* Complete all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Assistant Director of InsuranceThe role will also provide ancillary support for the real estate program. Support of the real estate program may include:* Assist in data entry for lease management software system (Visual Lease)* Review and reconciliation of monthly rent statements (including backup)* Assist in the filing and management of real estate files (both hard copy and digital) consisting of Leases, Amendments and other important documentsEDUCATION:* A bachelor's degree in accounting or risk management/insurance is preferred* Associate of Risk Management ("ARM") designation or willingness to obtainEXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES, AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:* One (1) to two (2) years experience, preferably with accounting or insurance brokerage experience* Knowledge of accounting and finance principles* Technology and system savvy: excellent understanding of processes, systems, and databases; knows how to use them efficiently and effectively* Advanced MS Office skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook* Outstanding written and oral communication skills; good listening capability* Well organized and disciplined, with well-developed project management capability; detailed and thorough; can proactively manage multiple priorities and projects on tight deadlines* Exceptional interpersonal skills; team player and understands his/her role in relationship to others* Unquestionable personal integrity.
