If this sounds like a fit for you, we'd love to have that first discussion of you joining our team.Business Development Position - New York Buildings GroupWSP is currently initiating a search for a Business Development (BD) Leader/Driver for our New York Office.The WSP Systems Group is looking to hire a seasoned business development driver that has experience with buildings and knowledge of the NY and surrounding areas in the Healthcare, Commercial, Higher Education and Government sectors. The individual would be involved in managing client relationships with our leadership and marketing Teams as well as client and project pursuits. Come join us and help shape the future!The ideal candidate for this role will provide leadership and facilitation to execute successful Business Development strategies. The BD Leader will work in conjunction with New York Leadership to formulate, execute and help implement a short and long term business development plan for the market sectors identified, as well as specifically targeted clients. The individual will be responsible for facilitating the development and implementation of strategies for major Business Development efforts, developing new client relationships, maintaining and updating existing client relationships and working with Senior staff in the development of their BD Skills for pursuits in the New York Buildings Group.Reports to the New York Managing Directors in Systems and Structures and will be assigned to leading the effort for specific major opportunities, clients and market initiatives for the NY Property and Buildings Group.Primary Responsibilities:* Understand trends in the local buildings market* Work closely with Senior Leadership to establish strategic approach to new markets and effectively position our full suite of service offerings* Work with and coordinate with other market sector, practice and geographic leaders to develop co-marketing and business development strategies* Lead development, tracking progress, and updating of BD / Marketing Plan* Fostering relationships with existing clients through consistent meetings and develop a dialog with clients that create contract opportunities* Prepare business development reports and monitor progress towards achieving business goals* Schedule client meetings with decision-makers in the A/E/C industry* Identify and manage our presence at industry networking events and conferences to gather leads and make connections to raise the brand profile of the company in the local market* Understand industry competitors and support in performing competitor analysis* Support and direct business development efforts of senior staff* Work with pursuit managers in coordinating and conveying client information, project hot buttons and winning attributes for strategic pursuits* Develop strong working knowledge of the local and national Property & Buildings portfolio and technical staff capabilities* Coach and mentor marketing and technical staff in customer relationship management and business development skillsTalent is the essence of meeting our client's objectives, goals and challenges.
