Major tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Cultures and differentiates human Pluripotent Stem cells in various conditions.
  • Designs and executes well-controlled in-vitro experiments and assays.
  • Executes in-vitro assays and best analytical practice implementation.
  • Develops and troubleshoots cell culture and a wide variety of in-vitro assays.
  • Develops and validates novel Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Conducts due diligence on analytical technology offerings and evaluation.
  • Contributes to team and project meetings, as well as day-to day lab operations, including ordering, inventory and LIMS input.
  • We seek candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Masters degree in cell biology or related discipline required. Recent PhD preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of related work experience required, preferably in a biotech/pharma or analytical lab setting.
  • Knowledge of stem cell directed differentiation and pancreatic islet biology highly preferred.
  • Requires high level of experience with cell culture, cell-based assays, and analytical development.
  • Experience with embryonic or induced pluripotent stem cell (ESC/hiPSC) culture highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated excellence in planning, executing and analyzing experiments required.
  • Experience with genetic stability testing and genomic analysis highly preferred.
