The team - Product Strategy & Lifecycle Management (PS&LM)

Deloitte's Product Strategy & Lifecycle Management (PS&LM) practice works with organizations to improve their product development related capabilities in order to improve product quality, reduce time-to-market, and drive increased return on their R&D investment.

We assist our clients with product and project portfolio management, new product development and change management processes, cross-functional development collaboration, organizational efficiency, product data management, and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) technology enablers.

Work you'll do

Senior Manager's will identify, lead, scope, architect, sell and deliver PS&LM transformation projects in support of the global services portfolio and business model, and our global growth ambitions

Improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the our client's R&D and Product Development organizations to create a strategic, competitive advantage.

Execute both C-level strategic assessments and large, complex client engagements that identify, design, and implement creative business and technology solutions for large companies.

Provide consulting services to clients in the Technology, Manufacturing, Life Sciences, Aerospace & Defense, and / or Retail / Consumer Goods industries.

Implement the quality of deliverables and effectively work with the team and day-to-day relationships to ensure exceptional performance.

Participate in development and presentation of proposals for business development activities. Foster client relationships and contribute to projects from planning through execution.

Supply Chain Networks

Our Supply Chain Networks team helps clients transform their value chains into competitive weapons. We drive efficiency, improve flexibility, and increase responsiveness through proactive insights and decision-making. We advise, implement, and operate transformational solutions that bring world-class supply network and operational capabilities to our clients. We provide operational know-how, digital technologies, advanced analytics, and industry-specific hybrid solutions to deliver unprecedented client value. Additionally, we improve operations, product, and material flow across the breadth of the value chain and create greater supply network synergy and value through M&A events.

Primary responsibilities include:

Lead the scoping, contracting and delivery of Product Strategy & Lifecycle Management (PS&LM) programs in one or more of the following areas

  • Product and R&D Strategy
  • Lean Product Development (Hardware and Software)
  • Digital Product Development & Analytics
  • Digital Thread/Digital Twin
  • Product Development Org. & Talent


These programs may include activities related to

  • Diagnostic, business case, strategy and roadmapping
  • Process, data, and tool implementation and deployment
  • Long-term Operate (Application Mgmt Services and / or Business Process Outsourcing)


Additional responsibilities:

Support PS&LM practice business development activities

Support the development and maturation of PS&LM assets and accelerators

Manage relationships with PS&LM eco-system (clients, SW vendors, subcontractors)

Support PS&LM practice building, training, recruiting

Qualifications

  • Experience scoping, estimating, and delivering complex global product development transformation
  • Executive communication skills - written, oral
  • Experience originating and selling professional services and transformation programs within Global 2000 environment
  • Management of diverse global teams
  • Depth in one of more of the following industries - A&D, Hi-Tech, Auto, Software and Platforms, Life Sciences, Retail / Consumer Goods
  • 5+ years experience developing and leading Product Development Transformation Programs leveraging leading 'PLM' platforms (Dassault, PTC, SAP, Oracle, Siemens...) or Software Development Lifecycle 'SDLC' platforms (CA Rally, Rational, Jira, CD/CI tools...)
  • 7-10+ years overall with ideally, 5 years experience from a top tier consulting firm focused on Product Development / PLM or within the Product Development function of a leading global organization
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering, Science, Computer Information Systems (CIS), Management or a related field. MBA or MS preferred
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
