Responsibilities Setting up and supporting SQL architecture within the Firm, including backup and recovery, system configuration, mirroring, and SQL updates and patches Performing routine and scheduled database backups, restorations, cleanup and general database maintenance in a large, highly complex, software development environment Assisting in schema design. Reviewing designs and SQL code from fellow developers to ensure adherence to established coding principles and standards Establishing better management practices that will lead to more secure SQL environment Providing infrastructure support for enterprise applications, such as Relativity, iManage, Elite 3E, IntApp, SharePoint, and other third-party applications Conducting advanced troubleshooting and resolving highly complex technical issues including performance tuning stored procedures, triggers, view and functions on large OLTP databases with high transaction rates and concurrency Providing assistance with integration tasks using SSIS or IntApp when needed Documenting SQL Environment and Performing other duties, as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience in Information Systems or Computer Science One or more relevant Microsoft certifications MCAP, MCTS, MCDBA At least five years of experience with advanced SQL administration, preferably within the legal industry Coding experience with .Net strongly desired SQL Admin functions (backuprestore, shrink logs, replication, encryption, overall architecture) Strong transact SQL skills Practical experience and understanding of data recovery and redundancy processes Understanding of profiler and query optimization SSISSSRS Knowledge of Firm applications, including Relativity, iManage, Elite 3E, IntApp and SharePoint highly desired Excellent oral and written communication skills Flexibility and ability to multi-task and shift priorities, as needed Ability to gain internal support and establish solid working relationships with peers and management and Ability to communicate effectively with business users, team members and management and identify needs, define processes, and evaluate technical solutions and strategies.
