Colleagues across all departments are truly passionate about what they do and it is constantly inspiring to work with industry leaders across all segments of the business.The RoleThe primary function of this role is to act as the project manager for the execution of sales by monitoring and tracking all activities and elements related to incoming property. The Sale Coordinator manages the catalogue production process, all sale related deadlines and manages client paperwork and charges and ensure they are accurately reflected in Christie's systems. The sale coordinator also acts as client liaison when appropriate to gather or dispatch consignment and property related information.Specific duties & responsibilities will include but are not limited to* Verify consignment details - pre-sale to ensure accuracy, liaise with clients as needed for all consignment related information, including "Know Your Client"* Manage catalogue production process including monitoring progress of cataloguing, photography, essay writing, lotting up, compliance, rights and permissions to meet deadlines; act as main point of contact and liaison with photography studio, production teams and Specialists* Act as liaison to Operations for sale view and set up and prepare relevant assets, as required* Track and ensure execution of seller consignment promises* Request seller agreement and stock order creation and manage and track status of consignment paperwork to ensure compliance requirements are met and required records are maintained* Create shipping requests, obtain client approvals and flag need for export licenses* Proactively track receipt of property and follow-up on open issues and missing items* Manage Expertise, Framing and Restoration needs for sale including quote requests, client communications and related client charges, and obtaining necessary cost approvals* Request Property Movement including site transfers, local transfers, temp releases, transfer to third party, and hand carries* Request client charge creation and regularly review system data to ensure accurate reporting* Chair Sale Update Meetings with Specialists and Cataloguers as assigned by the Head of Sale Management* Manage sale activities including managing reserves, client views, condition report dispatch, client interest lists, bids, and sale ticketing requests; troubleshoot sale related issues as they arise* Manage and oversee sale interest* Telephone bidding* Liaise with Business Support Group and Post-Sale Services team as required* Answer and screen incoming phone calls* Other duties as assigned by Head of Sale Management.The Candidate* Undergraduate degree required* 2+ years' work experience* Exceptional client service skills* Strong project management skills including ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage multiple processes* Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including superior written and spoken communication* Ability to work collaboratively across multiple groups and sites* Ability to remain calm and project a positive attitude during stressful situations* Ability to creatively problem solves* Ability to work independently and as part of a team* Strong systems expertise in Outlook and Microsoft Office* Ability to learn Christie's systems including COS, JDE, Intranet and WebsiteThe Benefits* Comprehensive Medical, Dental and Vision care plans for employees and dependents (On average, Christie's pays 80% of total premiums)* 401(k) Savings Plan - Christie's provides a matching contribution up to 5% (subject to IRS limits)* Life Insurance - 3x base salary up to $400k (100% paid by Christie's)* Disability Insurance (100% paid by Christie's)* Generous time-off and leave policies; including 100% Paid Family Leave up to 16 weeks.* Onsite weekly yoga class* Fitness Reimbursement Program: reimbursement of eligible fitness fees and memberships up to $520 per year* Annual Discretionary Performance Bonus Plan* Commuter Benefits - Pre-tax money towards your daily commute with a Christie's contribution of $21 per month* Back Up Child & Elder Care - up to 10 days of back-up Child or Elder Care through Bright Horizons* CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Day- Each employee receives one paid day per year to dedicate their time to a charity of their choice.* Perks and Discounts through Zo and Plum Benefits
