Bar Masa Sommelier

This position requires an individual who will dedicate time in elevating the beverage program at Bar Masa. This individual realizes the importance of proper beverage service and efficient execution while maintaining a clean and organized work station. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Receiving and stocking of product, informing Management of any discrepancies in deliveries
  • Working alongside the entire front of house Bar Masa staff to elevate wine education, service techniques including glassware, pour levels, storage, beverage pairings and the ability to understand guest preferences
  • Working with the FOH staff to expedite and provide excellent service to all guests; assist members of staff and guests during the dinner service with wine recommendations and selection for perfect pairing with their meal, decanting of the wine and wine service
  • Ensures that all wine is served in proper glassware and in proper condition
  • Maintain all beverage lists to be accurate, up to date and free of errors
  • Takes part in monthly inventory
  • Send the EOD email to the beverage team, updating on what bottles were sold that evening, lows & 86 s
