Salary : $100,000 to $150,000 /year +incentives

A Quality Facility Services has provided contract janitorial services and floor/carpet care since 2003. AQFS is rapidly growing, as a solid, stable, debt free company that has stood the test of time. We are looking for a director that will help us grow into becoming a national name. AQFS is currently serving numerous customers across Ohio and PA. Headquartered in Canton, OH, we provide services to local industries such as medical buildings, corporate headquarters, educational facilities, and manufacturing plants. The company uses a client-focused approach to service customers and build lasting relationships. The Director of Operations will be responsible for all aspects of daily operations. They will be responsible for strategic planning of operations and innovation of scaling the company. The Director of Operations will report directly to the CEO. This person is also expected to work closely with other company management and employees and will be based out of the Canton, OH office.


  • Hiring, training, and coaching of direct reports
  • Ensuring that supervisory team accomplishes all objectives
  • Making sure all customer locations are properly staffed
  • Ensuring personnel compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Ensuring that all supervisors and personnel are properly trained
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations to ensure a safe workplace
  • Managing labor budgets and ensuring overall budget compliance
  • Ensuring that work performed meets customer expectations
  • Building, managing and leading a high-performance team
  • Scaling operations
  • Developing, meeting and beating fiscal budgets
  • Ensuring overall customer satisfaction through communication and managing relationships.
  • Ensure that all necessary supplies are available and that personnel are properly trained on utilization
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Owner

Skills/Talents/Experience Required:

  • Flexible work schedule and willingness to work any shift
  • Successful track record in facility operations, preferably janitorial
  • High Energy
  • Experience in managing unskilled labor force in a labor-intensive industry
  • 5-10 years experience managing multiple sites and customer relationships
  • Minimum 4 years of employment with one employer is a MUST!
  • On-boarding operations team during acquisition phases
  • MUST be able to communicate clearly and frequently both verbally and in writing up and down chain of command
  • Extensive skills in EXCEL spreadsheets, automated time keeping and PowerPoint Presentations
  • Proven skills to develop and manage safety programs
  • Bi-lingual ability is a plus Competencies required
  • Intense honesty/integrity Ethical, does not cut corners
  • Excellent organization and planning skills
  • Good problem solver with high sense of urgency
  • Strong desire to please customers
  • Professional yet personal social style
  • Aggressiveness, moves quickly and takes a forceful stand without being overly abrasive

  • Proven skills to develop and manage safety programs
